    <para>The <application>Shared Folders Administration Tool</application> allows you to share folders with other computers in your network or on the internet.</para>

  <sect1 id="tool-getting-started">
    <title>Getting started</title>

    <para>You can start <application>Shared Folders Administration Tool</application> in the following ways:</para>

	   <listitem>
		<para>Press the right mouse button on any local folder and choose <guimenuitem>Share folder</guimenuitem> to share or stop sharing the folder.</para>

	   <term>Command line</term>
	   <listitem>
		<para>Execute the following command: <command>shares-admin</command>.</para>
	   </listitem>

    <para>When you start <application>Shared Folders Administration Tool</application>, you will be prompted for the administrator password. This is necessary because the changes done with this tool will affect the whole system.</para>

    <para>After entering the administrator password, the following window is displayed.</para>

    <para>The <application>Shared Folders Administration Tool</application> main window contains the following elements:</para>

		<para>Specifies global settings for a group of shared folders.</para>

  <sect1 id="tool-usage">
    <title>Usage</title>

    <sect2>
      <title>To share a folder</title>
	 <para>There are 3 ways of sharing a folder:</para>
	 <orderedlist>
	   <listitem><para>In the <guilabel>Shared Folders</guilabel> tab click on the <guibutton>Add</guibutton> button. In the <guilabel>Share Folders</guilabel> dialogue fill in the folder you wish to share.</para></listitem>
	   <listitem><para>Right-click on a local folder and choose <guimenuitem>Share folder</guimenuitem>.</para></listitem>
	   <listitem><para>Drag a folder and drop it in the shared folders list in the main window.</para></listitem>
	 </orderedlist>
    </sect2>

      <title>To stop sharing a folder</title>
	 <para>There are two ways to stop sharing a folder:</para>
	 <orderedlist>
	   <listitem><para>In the <guilabel>Shared Folders</guilabel> tab select the folder you want to stop sharing and click on the <guibutton>Delete</guibutton> button.</para></listitem>
	   <listitem><para>Right-click on a local folder and choose <guimenuitem>Share folder</guimenuitem>, then select not to share in the <guilabel>Share through</guilabel> combobox.</para></listitem>
	 </orderedlist>

      <title>To modify a folder sharing properties</title>
	 <para>In the <guilabel>Shared Folders</guilabel> tab select the folder you want to modify and press the <guibutton>Properties</guibutton> button.</para>

      <title>To modify global sharing properties</title>
	 <para>In the <guilabel>General Properties</guilabel> tab modify any of the values.</para>
